What the h3ll?
I understand that I work in the medical field. But I work for a podiatrist and we share space with a chiropractor...why do people come in this office sounding like they are going to cough up a lung. It is gross and ridiculous. I am off to scrub the office with Lysol.

Valentine's Day
Happy Valentine's Day! Today would have been my due date. I am very sad about it but I am trying very hard to remain positive that the iui worked and I am pregnant now. I think I am even a bit 'bluer' since Jeff is out of town. But Friday will be here soon and then he will be home for three days!
I am also scheduled to get my first delivery from Birchbox. I am very excited. What you've never heard of Birchbox?!? Check it out here! I will let you know what I get!

3 dpiui
Today puts me at 3 days past IUI (dpiui). I really didn't do much over the weekend. Friday night Jeff and I were in bed by 7:30. We were both exhausted. Saturday, Jeff shoveled the driveway and cleaned the house, while I did laundry and did general picking up. Then we went to church, the mall and dinner with my parents.
Sunday was the open house, so we took the pups to the pet store and then to hang out at my parents house for a few hours. We were thrilled that even in the frigid temperatures and cold that we had two people come to look at the house. We just need one buyer.
The pups were exhausted when we got home. They were so cute. Both curled up and sleeping soundly by 7:00!
So as far as the wait, I have labwork this Friday to make sure that I did indeed ovulate. I am hoping that they might be able to do an HCG test as well. I will never make it another 11 days to test - but I don't want to test too early as right now because of the trigger shot a HPT will show positive.

My First IUI
Wednesday evening was my trigger shot and it was relatively painless. Whatever at this point. I prepare for the worst and hope for the best.
Thursday was my birthday and I celebrated all day. It was wonderful. And Jeff came home.
Friday morning we were up and going pretty quick. Jeff's appointment was at 9, we got there about 8:45 and they took him back pretty quickly. My appointment was at 10:30, once he was finished they told him to have me back by 10:15.
We went to the cafeteria and got some breakfast. (Gotta love a hospital that has sushi and valet parking!)
We got back to the Fertility Clinic at 10:15, they called us back pretty quick and I was told to once again take bottoms off. The nurse came back in and I identified the 'sample' yes, it was Jeff's sample.
The nurse then said she would explain everything but if I had any questions, to please stop her and she would do her best to answer them.
She inserted the speculum and we got the show on the road. It took about 5 minutes and it really didn't hurt. She told me to lay on the table for 15 minutes, Jeff had me lay there an additional five minutes..then we left. It really wasn't bad. I wouldn't say painful but rather a few minutes of uncomfortable.
We left and came home because I was exhausted. I took a good nap and then we went out to dinner but we were back home and in bed by 7:30. I think we were both mentally exhausted.
Next step...I have labwork next Friday and then will test the following Friday. The two week wait now starts!

SCAN
This morning I was in Cleveland at 7:30AM for my scan. The OPK was negative at home. I got on the table for the scan. My left ovary had some eggs growing but nothing to write home about, so we went to look at the right side and holy moly. There were three HUGE eggs and a fourth one that was fairly big as well. He said that there is a possibility of multiples. So, the plan now.
Tonight I will get a trigger shot between 9pm and 10pm. This will trigger my ovulation. Then Friday morning will be the IUI. Jeff is actually going to take the day off so he will go with me and we will be able to use a 'fresh' sample which is better.
I just know that this is going to work and I will be pregnant!
Also, my AMH is a 2 which is supposedly is really good based upon my age and all. Anything over a 1 is good. So, I am not near menopause, so that is good, just in case.

HSG
I finally had the HSG test this morning. it really wasn't that bad. There was some pressure and I wouldn't say it was fun. But I have completely clear tubes!!! YEAH!
statistics say that you are most fertile after having the HSG...so I am crossing my fingers for that to be true.
In other news, I am being pulled into drama where I do not want to be and I am very upset by it. I am not sure what I am going to do but I am not in high school and I have no intentions of acting like it.

Interesting
Yesterday, as I pulled into the driveway, I saw a box on the front porch. I hadn't ordered anything so was a bit confused as to what this might be. Anyway, as I walked to the porch, I saw SIMILAC on the side of the box. I wanted to throw up. I left it out on the porch until I could collect my thoughts. I finally brought it in and decided I wasn't going to open it, I was just going to throw it away. Then, I decided to open it and it is newborn formula. So what to do with it. I thought of calling my sister-in-law...but she is breast feeding and Kendyl is 3 months old...so that wouldn't work. I then decided to take it to church and donate it to the food pantry. I think that is a great way to turn around a bad moment.
That said, Thank you SIMILAC, for your donation. The coupons are lovely, very kind, too. Thank you for the heartache as I approach my due date and do not have a baby. I know that when I do have my baby in my arms, my heart will still ache for the baby I lost.
