Lillian Rose~
I can't begin to tell you how excited your daddy and I are to finally meet you tomorrow or Friday. Mommy would really like you to come sooner rather than later. It has been such a long road to get to this point. We know we will make many mistakes and have so many questions, but we will try our best to be good parents - fair parents...but your parents. We will not be your best friend, I am sure. Daddy and I were not perfect children and have some insight and will probably be a bit strict. Plus, the fact that you have an Uncle Nick who tried every trick in the book, I hope that not much will get past us.
We have everything ready for you, so that hopefully we can have a fun four weeks with daddy off work and the three of us can bond. We can't wait for you to meet your dogs too. Sammy is just a sweet love. I think he would love to cuddle up and sleep with you. I don't think we will allow that. hen there is Cali. She is a bit wild, but it is my hope that she will accept you into the "pack" and be friendly with you. She really is a good dog when there are no new people in the house. Hopefully, she will get used to you quickly.
Your grandparents, great grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins are so looking forward to meeting you, too. I think we will have a rotating door for a little it, but that is okay, we just can't wait for everyone to meet our little cuddle-bug.
We love you to the moon and back,
Love,
Mommy & Daddy

An Update at 38 weeks, 5 days
We had our dr appointment on Thursday afternoon. At that time we decided to schedule an induction for sometime next week. The dr is still hoping I will go into labor on my own, but we want this as a back-up plan. So, for the week of March 18th. Jeff and I will work from home on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. (BTW - Monday is our anniversary and the day that I am really hoping that Lillie decides to make her entrance.) Thursday, March 21 we will go to the hospital about 4pm to start the induction. Which means our little Lillie should be here by Friday late afternoon/early evening which is March 22. My mom's birthday is March 23, so this will be her first birthday as a Grandma.
So between now and then I am going to try to get some rest and try to keep everything organized and try to induce labor myself...walking, cleaning, just moving!
Yesterday we went and did some returns and I picked up the cream colored tights for Lillie to wear at Easter! They are so tiny. (BTW - Dr is guessing Lill's weight to be 7-7.5 at birth, we shall see!) We also got her a pair of sunglasses! They have a tiara on them and are so stinking cute I just can't stand it. No idea what I will wear for Easter, but she is all set. They did have a pair of shoes, but I decided that it was extremely silly to buy shoes for a 1 week old. They looked too big anyway. She can go without shoes to church!
Can't wait for this week!!!

38 weeks
Well, Time certainly does go quick...but this week seems to be going SO slow waiting for our little girl to get here. This past weekend we did more around the house getting ready. We took a nice walk and enjoyed the sunshine. It was a gorgeous weekend. Tuesday afternoon, I lost my mucous plug. I know TMI. But these are my memories! :) I started having some pretty intense contractions. I went ahead and went and got Lillie's car seat checked and it is properly installed, so that made me feel better.
Today, Jeff and I worked from home and the contractions were there...but as the morning went on I couldn't feel Lillie's movements. I called the dr and they sent me to triage. She moved quite a bit for them. I just can't feel the movements. So, we were released.
so now we wait some more...dr appointment tomorrow afternoon.

Presenting Lillian Rose's Bedroom and the story of her name
I wanted Lillian's room to be quiet and calming. The walls are painted a medium grey with pink accents and a ballet theme. We still have a couple things to get - a glider for one! First picture is looking in from the bedroom door.
Second picture is her dresser
This is one of the lamps we got. I added Ballet shoe ribbon around it. (We need to get another light for the room. It is fairly dark in the evening)
Her changing table with bow holder above.
The Tutu valance I made!
Her crib with her name above.
Half her closet
The other half of her closet and her tutu picture.
We chose her name pretty easily. We wanted a name that was traditional, not trendy at all. I wanted a family name. We came up with LILLIAN ROSE. Lillian was my maternal grandmother's (Momo) name as well as a great aunt. Rose was my paternal grandmother's name - the one who died 4 years ago. Rose was also HER aunt's name. I think it is very pretty and will work for a little girl as well as an adult. So far her nickname will be Lillie; however, Jeff and I both keep calling her Lills.

Full-term 37 weeks.
I can't believe I am full term. I can't wait to meet the little girl who was so wanted and is already so loved. She is obviously a fighter after all she survived through during the first trimester. I think she is going to be a red head - with a stubborn streak!
We are basically ready. We still don't have a chair in her room or a baby monitor but really she will be sleeping in our room for awhile, so I don't think those items are really necessary right now.
I will take pictures tomorrow of her room. It is just what I thought it should be. Grey and pink and very girly.
Looking forward to Thursday for another appointment. I believe we will schedule an induction as a 'just in case' then too.
